NWT Chamber of Commerce launches revamped website

November 20th, 2008

The NWT Chamber of Commerce is pleased to unveil its newly redesigned website.

The site, www.nwtchamber.com, has been rebuilt from scratch to maximize its speed in loading and ease of use both for those seeking online information from the Chamber and for the organization’s staff updating the content.

“We recognized that our website had the potential to be a critical tool for delivering services and information to our members as well as prospective new member firms,” said Ann Marie Tout, NWT Chamber President. “Together as a Board we made it a priority to rebuild the site and it is rewarding to see this goal accomplished.”

The site’s features include Chamber news items, NWT Chamber of Commerce Board member contact info, a list of current members, membership benefits including an online application to join the Chamber, an online poll related to the interests of the organization, and a download area when users can access PDF versions of publications and approved meeting minutes.

“One of the new features I like most is that users now have the ability to comment on the news items they see on our site,” said John Curran, NWT Chamber Executive Director. “This added level of interaction not only helps us get vital feedback from our members and the public, it also helps advance the public discussion of the issues that are important to the business community in a meaningful way.”
