Associate and Regular Members of the NWT Chamber of Commerce can now expect more value and direct benefits when they pay their dues to the organization.
"Resulting from the Chamber's strategic planning session in November, the Board of Directors has now approved a new Member Rewards Program that can deliver strategic advantages to participating companies," said John Curran, Executive Director. "This week the Chamber signed an agreement with the Chamber eLearning Centre and Growth Advisors Inc., which allows our Associate and Community Chamber Members access to highly-effective, low-cost online training."
A 15 per cent discount has also been negotiated for any of these members subscribing to courses with our partner-provider, Curran added.
"Providing constant and effective training opportunities has been demonstrated time and again to be a positive step employers can take towards retaining qualified workers – especially those among Generation Y," he said.
More information is available on the Internet at www.chamberelearning.ca/NWT and Growth Advisors will be promoting the service directly to members in the coming weeks.
This new alliance adds to the Chamber’s already impressive Member Rewards Program which includes substantial discounts for members on processing financial transactions through TD Merchant Services and First Data as well as access to the Chambers of Commerce Group Insurance Plan – Canada’s leading group benefits plan for firms with 50 or fewer employees.
The fourth element of our expanded Member Rewards Program is exclusive access to the business-to-business marketing opportunities available through our suite of professionally-produced communication tools, including the recently revamped www.nwtchamber.com, our environmentally-friendly monthly e-newsletter Biz Quix and the chance to partner with the Chamber to further enhance the Member Rewards Program, Curran added.
In association with the network of community Chambers of Commerce in Fort Simpson, Behchoko, Norman Wells, Fort Smith, Hay River and Yellowknife as well as the Northern Aboriginal Business Association, the NWT Chamber of Commerce represents the interests of more than 865 members. For more than 35 years, it has been the only pan-territorial voice of businesses across all sectors of the Northern economy.
