Pandemic planning toolkit now available

September 21st, 2009

The NWT Chamber of Commerce is pleased to advise members that new resources are available for those struggling to prepare for the next wave of H1N1 flu.

Through an agreement with the Calgary Chamber of Commerce, a PDF version of its document, A Pandemic Planning Toolkit for Businesses – which was prepared in association with Global Consulting and GlaxoSmithKline – is now available for download from the public documents section of www.nwtchamber.com.

“We thank the Calgary Chamber for allowing us to share this toolkit with our members,” said NWT Chamber President Ann Marie Tout. “It’s important for businesses to prepare for the coming flu season and I would encourage all of our members to plan ahead before the next wave of H1N1 arrives.”

In association with the network of community chambers of commerce in Fort Simpson, Behchoko, Norman Wells, Fort Smith, Hay River and Yellowknife as well as the Northern Aboriginal Business Association, the NWT Chamber of Commerce represents the interests of more than 865 members. For more than 35 years, it has been the only pan-territorial voice of businesses across all sectors of the Northern economy.
