2009 NWT Chamber AGM set for Fort Smith March 30-31

The Board of Directors of the NWT Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce it will hold its 2009 Annual General Meeting in Fort Smith March 30-31.

“We’re very excited that we’ve been able to line-up Bank of Canada Governor Mark Carney, who is originally from Fort Smith, as our special guest,” said Ann Marie Tout, NWT Chamber President.

“The Board of Directors is also thrilled with the prospect of going to Fort Smith for this event – and we thank the Fort Smith Chamber of Commerce and its President Don Jaque for the kind invitation.”

While other details of the program are still coming together, we hope to see many of our members there to join us for this important gathering, she added.

The NWT Chamber will be sending its members an updated program and registration form once all of the other speakers and activities of the event are confirmed.

In association with the network of community Chambers of Commerce in Fort Simpson, Behchoko, Norman Wells, Fort Smith, Hay River and Yellowknife as well as the Northern Aboriginal Business Association, the NWT Chamber of Commerce represents the interests of more than 865 members. For more than 35 years, it has been the only pan-territorial voice of businesses across all sectors of the Northern economy.
